JULY 24, 2004 From snow play to weekend bike rides with the family to see the horses at the fairgrounds, we have been busy growing and learning. Fun with reading, puzzles, music, crafts and dancing are among our favorite indoor activities. Outdoors, we ride tractors and trikes, chase Easter eggs and go to Sunday School, and play with the girls next door. Henry graduated from preschool, and Roger can't wait to start. We spent a long weekend with Nana, playing games and seeing sights around town. Anne and Libby even got to go out for a fancy lunch on their own for Mother's Day! We had great fun visiting, bike riding, hiking and canoeing for our Moore family vacation in Henry's Lake and the greater Yellowstone National Park area in June. Trust all is well with you and yours, and join us as we continue to pray for peace. FEBRUARY 14, 2004 Thanksgiving in Seattle with 3 uncles and aunts, two grandparents and 3 cousins! All in Uncle Steve and Aunt Molly's new house! Fun times at the Seattle Zoo, the Pike Place Market, Seattle Center and the hotel pool! Christmas and New Year's in Boise. The year of the Tonka. A cold, snowy winter, keeping us inside more than we like, brightened by holiday parties at the Y, parades, visits to train shows and on. We are enjoying reading new books about new places and faces as well. The run-up to Valentine's Day had resulted in excessive candy consumption, with Roger apparently having the genetic preference for chocolate. Henry now into the world of paper valentine exchange, a practice that may end with his generation. A fun party to celebrate this day of love. Hope you are all well and keeping the faith. We've been busy growing and changing, and have some new pictures for you to enjoy. We've had birthdays and visitors, moved into toddler beds, and are becoming proficient at swimming, writing letters on the chalkboard and generating even more artwork! Still, our happiest times are playing with the neighbors, digging in the garden, and eating new types of treats. Snow has begun to fall here, and we are ready to roll up big snowmen, and make angels for all to see. Our dog challenges us to enjoy every flake on our tongues as he does when it snows! We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. We wish that you can find the joy in small things, like dancing or skipping to music in your head, drawing or doodling because you feel like it, and hugging somebody you love just because.
