TO CHANGE YOUR NICK    /nick [newname] TO REGISTER YOUR NICK (SO NO ONE ELSE CAN USE IT) - ENTER THE FOLLOWING THREE COMMANDS...    /ns register [password] [email address]    /ns set kill on    /ns set secure on REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD AND EMAIL ADDRESS - WE CAN NOT ACCESS THIS INFO FOR YOU TO TYPE AN ACTION (EX. ***KAREN SAYS HELLO TO JIM)   /action [says hello to Jim] PRIVATE CHAT WITH ANOTHER USER IN ROOM    /msg [username] [your message] FIND OUT INFO ABOUT ANOTHER USER    /whois [username] AWAY MESSAGE    /away [away message]    Whenever someone sends you a MSG or does a WHOIS on you, they automatically see whatever message you have set.    Although it's not required, sometimes it's good to change your nick to *_away (ex. mooreboys_away) so people know your gone    Entering "/away" again turns off your away message REGISTERED USERS ONLY - MEMOSERV SYSTEM HOW TO Memoserv allows users with registered nicks to send each other messages, which can be read by the recipient at his/her leisure. Memos can be sent to people even when they are not on mooreboys chat! SEND A MEMO TO A REGISTERD USER Remember, you and the person you are sending your memo to MUST be registered users. Do not include the brackets when typing these.    /send [username] [message] You can also attach a topic to your personal message by typing the following    /send [username] MTOPIC [topic] MBODY [message] READ YOUR MEMOS When you sign-in to mooreboys chat with your registered nick, memoserv will let you know if you have any memos waiting for you. To read them, simply type...    /ms read 1    /ms read 2    ...and so on You can also access your memo list at anytime by typing /ms list DELETEING YOUR MEMOS Memoserv does not delete your messages for you automatically. To delete your messages, simple type...    /ms delete 1    /ms delete 2    ...and so on Once you delete your memos, they are put into a "Recycler" folder. To empty this folder, type    /ms expunge OTHER FEATURES There are many other features available with memoserv, and you can access the entire list by typing    /ms help We have listed those basic commands that are the most useful. REGISTERED USERS ONLY - NOTIFY SYSTEM HOW TO Notify allows users with registered nicks to archive a list of other usernames (friends/buddy list) for later use. You can then access this list whenever you want, and the system will let you know if that user signs on the IRC system (which is the bigger chat system that mooreboys chat is a part of.)
